While the 2026 NBA Summer League is all about evaluating this year's rookie class, a few second-year players stand out as must-watch prospects as they continue their NBA journeys.

Hugo González (Boston Celtics) – One of the most accomplished international prospects in last year's class, González brings toughness, defensive versatility, and winning experience from Real Madrid. He showed flashes with the Celtics as a rookie, but Summer League is another opportunity to prove he has what it takes to develop into a star.

Tre Johnson (Washington Wizards) – Widely regarded as one of the best pure scorers in last year's draft, Johnson has the ability to light it up from anywhere on the floor. Summer League will be a great opportunity for him to show he can become one of Washington's offensive cornerstones in the future. He also has a chance to carve out an immediate role as one of the league's top sixth men this season.

Maxime Raynaud (Sacramento Kings) – After a standout collegiate career at Stanford and a solid rookie season, the 7-footer enters Summer League looking to continue proving he can stretch the floor while protecting the rim. His combination of size and shooting makes him one of the most intriguing big men to watch.

Carter Bryant (San Antonio Spurs) – Bryant possesses all the tools NBA teams covet in a modern wing. His length, athleticism, and defensive versatility give him a high ceiling, and Summer League will be a chance to show that his offensive game is catching up to his physical gifts. Just a month removed from appearing in the NBA Finals, it's been quite the journey to now be leading the Spurs Summer League squad.
