Wyatt Langford

Wyatt Langford is hitting .425 with a 1.375 OPS and five home runs this spring. His underlying metrics have been just as impressive, including a 98.5 mph average exit velocity and a 74% hard-hit rate. He’s always hit the ball hard, now it’s just a matter of finding consistency at the major league level.

Chase DeLauter

Chase DeLauter is fresh off a two-home-run game yesterday, and the 24-year-old rookie looks poised to make major contributions for the Guardians this season after making his MLB debut during last year’s postseason. He’s hitting .459 over 14 spring training games and continues to show why he’s one of the league's most exciting young hitters.

Samuel Basallo

Samuel Basallo has posted elite metrics this spring, including a 97.2 mph average exit velocity, a 64% hard-hit rate, and a massive 32% barrel rate one of the highest marks of any hitter in camp. The biggest question for Basallo will be playing time/ where he plays, with Adley Rutschman currently ahead of him on the depth chart.

Cam Schlittler

Cam Schlittler will always be remembered by Yankee fans for his legendary performance against the Red Sox in a win-or-go-home game, but this year he’s expected to take a major step forward and could even find himself in Cy Young conversations if his spring form carries into the regular season.
