Thanks to the influx of extraordinary young talent, the popularity of the WNBA is blowing up. Unsurprisingly, the betting markets are too. Showing respect to the wonderful women’s game, this gambler will occasionally dip his toe in the WNBA wagering waters.

It’s BACK! The Mortal Enemy Parlay play, an unblemished 2-0 this season, is aiming to extend the W streak.
For those living under a rock, the strategy is simple.
With Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese fueled by Rookie of the Year award motivations and team playoff aspirations, you, the bettor, slap together favorite wagers in categories the rookie stars usually crush. My handpicked poisons are Reese’s rebounds and Clark’s assists. Shop the alt lines, find believable offerings, parlay them and get to plus money. That’s it.
With the rising stars in action Wednesday — Reese and the Sky against Atlanta, Clark and the Fever against Washington — here’s a breakdown of each leg.
Caitlin Clark 6+ assists, Fever ML vs. Mystics
The basketball revolutionizer continues to befuddle the competition with her supreme court vision and pinpoint passes. Coming off a triple-double against New York — the first-ever by a WNBA rookie — she should continue to mint dimes.
Giving credit where it’s due, Washington has surrendered the fourth-fewest assists per game (20.3) over their last 10 contests. Clark, however, handed out six assists in each of her two previous matchups against the Mystics. Also, she has topped the needed number in nine straight games, so it’s doubtful the streak gets bucked — especially in a game presumably played into the 80s.
Tack on the Fever to extend their season record to 3-0 against Washington, and the juice begins to bubble.
Angel Reese 10+ points and 10+ rebounds, Sky ML vs. Dream
Yes, a boards prop is usually the emphasis, but the odds of Reese extending her consecutive double-doubles record — it’s currently at 13 — is just too enticing.
Whether on putbacks, boxouts or short-range jumpers, the Chicago forward is an ultra-efficient producer in the paint. Expanding her game with three-point makes of late, she’s averaged 15.4 points and 13.4 rebounds since June 1.
Atlanta is a mediocre 7-13 overall on the season. Still, the Dream have allowed the fifth-fewest rebounds (33.6) and sixth-fewest points (82.5) over their last 10 games. Having reached double figures in points and rebounds in her first two games against Atlanta — 13 points and 13 rebounds on June 8, 12 points and 19 boards on July 2 — Reese will lengthen her record.
Correlating with the Sky gaining the upper hand in the season series — it currently stands at 1-1 — and the juice boils over.
