Celtics Halfway to Historic Comeback

For most of the postseason, Celtics title bettors have been riding the highs of Jayson Tatum, going for 51 in a game 7 and leading his group into the Conference Finals against a number 8 seed. And then, Jimmy Butler showed up and shocked the universe leading the Heat to a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Suddenly, a $100 bet on Boston which was once valued at at $375, came crashing down to about $20. C’s backers were kicking themselves, as they were certain that a Giannas-less path to the finals was a sure-fire way to cash in. After going down 0-2 AT HOME, the green rolled over in Game 3, and faced a hole that no team has ever come back from in NBA history. Bleak was an understatement. Many bettors might have even tucked their tails and collected their $20.

Staying Alive

With an @AJwagers tweet prior to Game 4 as evidence, I knew it was time to buy back in on the Celtics. They were still the more talented team, and I refused to believe they would go out in such embarrassing fashion. Barkley and Shaq wrote them off, and Miami fans were eying their flights to Denver. Low and behold, this team got off the mat in Game 4 on the road, and took care of business at home in Game 5.

Can't Wait For Saturday Night

Now, they still have a long way to go, but being down 3-2 is a lot more manageable. Game 6 in Miami is, needless to say, MASSIVE. It will likely be the winner take all game, as it is hard to see Miami winning a game 7 in Boston. More importantly, Celtics bettors have seen their futures tickets shoot all the way back to $197. That means Vegas likes them to complete this comeback, and so do I. Lets GO Celtics.
