The marquee matchup of the weekend comes on Sunday night.  Many are picking LSU to be in the college football playoffs.  If I had to pick a side, I’d go with LSU, but I’ll just enjoy this one.  The majority of bets and handle are on LSU with 75% of bets and 82% of the money.  Florida St money line has taken some money, no surprise there with 46% of the money and 35% of the bets.  I am going under 56.5.  This line has ticked down a bit from 58 and is even 55.5 at some books.  Only 22% of bets are on the under but 37% of the money.  Pair this with the line move and this looks to be a wiseguy bet.  I am hoping the public pushes this number higher by kickoff, but 56.5 or better will be my best bet

#9 Clemson @ Duke

In the final game of the holiday weekend we have an ACC matchup with one team that some think can win the title.  The public is backing Clemson so far with 68% of the bets and meanwhile only 59% of the money is on them.  If you like Clemson, I’d take it now.  I wouldn’t be too surprised if this got to -14 by kickoff, with this being a bailout game for many.  It feels very square, but I like Clemson in this one to roll.  I’m not expecting much out of Duke this year.  This line just seems short to what I think it should be.  And the only logic I can think of is it being a road game.  I’m not going to try to outsmart myself.  If it’s a loss, I’m a square for 1 game.

Oregon State @ San Jose State

After all of the points in San Jose State’s game last week vs USC, I’m surprised to see the total number as low as it is.  Oregon State should get there points but I think Oregon State’s defense is a lot stronger than USC’s.  A tell for me before I place any bet will be to see how USC does vs Nevada this weekend.  Splits seem to point to lines makers leading the public to betting the over.  63% of the bets are to the over but only 46% of the money is.  Oregon State is one of my favorite teams this year, and if you did not know DJ Uiagalelei transferred here from Clemson and has looked good so far from reports.  Pair that with their great running game and they should be a solid solid team this year.
