I like a lot of what I currently see with these week’s matchups.  We will have an article on the totals, or over/unders and then a separate article later in the week to discuss teams and spreads.  Here we will start with the totals.  Let’s begin.

#14 Missouri (7-1) @ #2 Georgia (8-0)

Total 54.5 Current splits ( OVER 73% money/85% bets)

To the average college football fan, Georgia has an unreal defense.  If you have watched them this year, you should be able to confirm they are pretty good, but they are just not as dominate on that side of the ball this year.  It shows with their 5-3 over record.  And as a matter of fact, it has been 5 straight overs for the dogs.  Missouri is a higher scoring team this year as well at 6-2 to the over.  Early bettors or leaning this way as well.  I have no choice but to look this way as well.

Army (2-6) @ #25 Air Force (8-0)

Total 31 - 32 Current Splits (UNDER 93% money/60% bets)

Low scoring games between the service academy schools have become a norm.  And so have the super low totals.  Unders between service academies are on a 40-10-1 run.  If you like this under I’d play it now.  It seems like it is trending lower.  The market is heavily invested in the under on this one.  It feels very low to me, but I’ll probably be slightly invested in this one.  Air Force played to a 17-6 game vs Navy earlier this year

#14 LSU (6-2) @ #8 Alabama (7-1)

Total 60.5 Current Splits ( OVER 55% money/ 69% bets)

LSU is 8-0 to the over.  I could end the handicap there.  It’s pretty incredible how good their offense has been and how bad their defense has been.  While Alabama has been thought of as a defensive team this year, even they are 5-2-1 to the over.  I was expecting this total to be 67 or 68.  I’m not sure how they both don’t score into the 30s.

#5 Washington (8-0) @ #20 USC (7-2)

Total 76.5  Current Splits (OVER 55% money/ 52% bets)

Finally a USC total that is properly lined.  I’d still lean over but this number is high enough to scare me off.  If it happens to start off slow, I think looking for an in-game opportunity lower could be a good play.  USC is 8-1 to the over.  Washington is just 4-4
