There are a ton of good games this week in college football. But after deep dives each day this week, there isn’t a whole lot on the betting card that stands out to me. This sure seems and feels like a learning week to see who is good and stands out. There are plenty of weeks remaining and at least from my perspective, I’d rather watch and learn than lose money on games I’m not so sure of. Now there will maybe or hopefully so some live in-game betting opportunities should they arise after watching some action, but pre-kickoff I’ll be limiting to just a select few.

I like the Tide laying less than a touchdown in this game. Early splits indicate money 77%/61% bets backing Mississippi. In a rare case, the books need Bama to cover in this one. I’ll side with the books as it seems like a buy low on Bama and sell high on Ole Miss. The total ticked down to 54.5 for a few days and is heading up at 55.5 and even a 56 out there now. Early splits 59%money/46% bets support an over play. I was expecting points so this data helps support and over play for me.

Mississippi laid an absolute egg last week vs LSU and got crushed. Meanwhile, South Carolina battled Georgia and led 14-3 at the half before being shut out in the 2nd half losing 24-14. This South Carolina seems like a pretty decent squad this year and Mississippi St does not. Mississippi State needed OT to beat a bad Arizona team 2 weeks ago. Splits are 87% money/80% bets so far.
#17 North Carolina (3-0) (2-1 ATS) @ Pittsburgh (1-2) (0-3 ATS)
North Carolina -7.5
I’m a hometown Pittsburgh guy and despise this Pitt team. Their QB, Jurkovec, has played some of the worst ball I have ever seen. He is the confirmed starter and I have no choice but to look towards North Carolina in this spot. Splits don’t tell much of a story here with 74% money and 74% bets on Carolina. This line touched 8 at some shops earlier in the week. I would love to see a -7 and it may be worthwhile to buy the ½ point if it doesn’t get there.
