What the Odds Are Saying

Two great games today. Here’s the quick read on futures value and the current Super Bowl odds.

$100 Super Bowl Future Bet Value

WagerWire

This is the preseason eye test. If you took a longshot future early, this is what you’re sitting on now. A $100 preseason Super Bowl future on each remaining team is estimated to be worth:

• Patriots: $2,238
• Seahawks: $1,754
• Rams: $536
• Broncos: $296

Patriots and Seahawks delivered the best value by far. Drake Maye has New England ahead of schedule. Sam Darnold’s comeback continues after proving he could win playoff games last year with Minnesota.

Current Super Bowl Odds

WagerWire

• Seahawks: +148
• Rams: +217
• Patriots: +262
• Broncos: +1116

Seattle sits on top of the board, with the Rams right behind them. Whoever wins the night game is likely to be the Super Bowl favorite.

Denver sits far back, and the reason is the Bo Nix injury. They were about +705 before the Bills game, then moved to roughly +1296 after, and now sit around +1116.

Game 1: Patriots vs Broncos

WagerWire

• Super Bowl odds: Patriots +262, Broncos +1116
Public money is heavy on New England today. Yet the spread is down to Patriots -3.5, which stands out.

New England has been to five Super Bowls in the last 15 years, and fans like Dave Portnoy are used to this stage. Denver is not in a total drought. They won the Super Bowl 10 years ago vs Carolina, and they’re trying to repeat on the decade as a major longshot. With Jarrett Stidham expected to be the quarterback, it's going to be a tough win to pull off.

Game 2: Rams at Seahawks

WagerWire

• Super Bowl odds: Seahawks +148, Rams +217
The market is implying the winner here is likely the Super Bowl favorite.

The Rams have been one of the best watches all year under Sean McVay. Stafford has played at an MVP level with Puka Nacua. Seattle counters with JSN, who posted 119 catches, 1,793 yards, and 10 TDs, and has 1 playoff TD so far with Darnold throwing him the ball.

Seattle also loses Zach Charbonnet for the season, so Kenneth Walker III becomes the clear lead back.

Final Insights

The top of the board is tight between Seattle, LA, and New England. Denver sits far back after the QB injury shift. After tonight, the favorite will be much clearer. If I had to make a prediction: Rams win tonight and become the clear Super Bowl favorites.
