Preseason Rangers Ticket Would Look Good on the Wire

These words were written by yours truly all the way back on March 31st.

Personally, I will be starting my summer off with a Mariners 25/1 ticket, and looking forward to seeing how that progresses over the next few months. The Cards at 20/1 are always interesting, and i’ll be keeping tabs on the Texas Rangers all the way down at 50/1, who ponied up this offseason in hopes of turning their franchise around. Let’s play some ball!

Not only was I keeping tabs, but I went ahead and placed a 1 unit wager on the Rangers, who loaded up this offseason in preparation for a deep fall run. I sure don't get em all right, but not a bad call out from a team picked to finish near the bottom of its own division this offseason. The oddsmakers might have overlooked Bruce Bochey along with the signings of Corey Seagar and Nathan Eovaldi.

Everyone has come through for this team, particularly Adolis Garcia who was practically given away to the Rangers for nothing. While I could not be happier to be holding this ticket at 50-1, the D-Backs are playing some incredible baseball of their own, and are going to be extremely tough to beat 3 more times.

With the series tied at 1 heading back to the desert, it is truly up for grabs and tonight is going to go a long way towards deciding the series. If only there was a way to take some of my chips off of the table, while still riding the joy from placing a 50/1 bet from before the season....
