The New York Knicks are now two wins away from advancing to the NBA Finals, this time powered by a playoff career-high 26 points from Josh Hart.

Cleveland’s defensive strategy once again involved heavily helping off Hart and daring him to make shots. This time, it completely backfired. Hart consistently punished the Cavs for leaving him open, knocking down 5 three pointers while also doing all the little things that have made him one of the most important role players in the league. When Hart is confidently shooting and attacking, the Knicks become extremely difficult to guard because of the spacing it creates for Brunson and Towns. Jalen heavily benefited from this in the passing department, recording 14 assists.

After the game, the Knicks’ press conference was a TV show of its own. Brunson was asked whether he feels responsible for keeping Hart confident offensively, and his answer perfectly summed up their chemistry. “Yeah. I mean I’m really not trying to look for him, he just happens to be open. So I give him the ball.”

Hart then gave one of the more memorable quotes of the playoffs when talking about analytics, referencing advice from his former Villanova Wildcats men's basketball coach Jay Wright. “They’re lamp posts to a drunk person. You can lean on them, but it won’t get you home.”

That immediately led to one of the funniest moments of the night involving Towns, who was completely fascinated by the analogy. Towns said: “I was with Cal, so I ain’t hear that.” Hart then quickly fired back: “You ain’t even go to college.” Towns, who only spent one year at Kentucky under Coach Calipari technically really didn't go to college.

The moment perfectly captures why this Knicks team has become so dangerous. Beyond the talent and execution, there’s a real chemistry and confidence throughout the roster. Right now, they’re not just winning games; they are peaking at the right time.
