The Numbers
Kalshi’s market on LeBron’s next team has generated $185,485,498 in trading volume and counting. The equivalent market on Polymarket has added another $33,564,176 and counting.
Combined, traders have exchanged more than $219 million trying to predict where James will play next.
For comparison, Kalshi’s 2027 Super Bowl champion market has generated approximately $45.7 million in volume, while its 2027 NBA championship market sits around $10.7 million. LeBron’s next-team market on Kalshi alone has produced roughly four times the volume of the Super Bowl market and more than 17 times the volume of the NBA Finals market.
At one point, the market had already surpassed the 2026 World Series, 2027 NBA Finals and 2027 Super Bowl markets combined. It has continued growing rapidly since then.
This has become a major live event, with every rumor capable of moving millions of dollars.
