MLB Player Props: Best bet for hitters:

Multiple times each week, resident action seeker Brad Evans will attempt to take the ‘books yard on his favorite MLB prop bets. As always, fade or follow Brad’s picks — fading is encouraged — that’s up to you.

NOTE: Due to increased football content responsibilities, we’re channeling the sprint energy of Noah Lyles on baseball pieces moving forward with an emphasis on QUICK reasonings.

Wednesday, August 7 — SGP (Game 1 of Angels-Yankees): Aaron Judge hit, Yankees -1.5 RL (+128, Caesars)

Aaron Judge hit

He’s not only the Judge, but also the jury and executioner.

For what seems like months, All Rise has brutalized baseballs. He’s batting a ridiculous .432 over the last 15 days, .328 at home on the season and .332 against right-handers this year. With an obscene 1.425 slugging percentage over the last seven days, Judge should continue to send the stitches into an alternate dimension. Through 111 games, his 27.6 barrel percentage and 96.2 mph average exit velocity are far and away the best in baseball.

Godspeed, Davis Daniel. In four starts this season, the Angels starter has surrendered a .333 average and .881 OPS to right-handed hitters. With 20 hits allowed in his last 14 innings, Daniel should serve one up to the Bronx Bomber.

Bank on Judge rocketing the rawhide somewhere between the lines for the ninth time in his last 10 games.

Yankees -1.5 run line

Judge and Juan Soto are one ERA-killing combo. Over the last two weeks, Aaron Boone’s offense has boomed, averaging 7.3 runs per game. Not surprisingly, the Yankees are No. 3 in wRC+ over their last 10 games. Given Daniels’ vulnerability to hard hits and earned runs, crooked numbers from the home team should again decorate the scoreboard.

The Halos are a respectable 6-4 against the run line in their last 10 contests. The Yankees, meanwhile, are a mediocre 5-5 in the category over the same stretch. If Luis Gil, who twirled an eight-inning, one-earned gem in Los Angeles on May 29, stays in control, the Pinstripes should easily prevail.

Hitter Prop season record: 30-44, -5.45 units
