Thursday, August 15 — Two-leg: Kyle Schwarber hit, Phillies ML vs. Nationals (-105, BetMGM)
- BetMGM offer: $1500 in Bonus Bets paid back
Kyle Schwarber hit
Counting on a free-swinging though occasionally patient hitter to find green grass is on par with hoping three consecutive crowns show up on that $10 scratcher. But today is the day. This jackpot chaser can feel it.
Schwarber is in the midst of a rather torrid streak. This month, he’s batting .313 with a 1.154 OPS.
Scheduled to square off against Washington left-hander Mitchell Parker, the Phillies leadoff man is in a prime table-setting position. In 153 at-bats against southpaws this year, Schwarber is hitting .333 with a 1.007 OPS. Traditional lefty-on-lefty axioms be damned.

To his credit, Parker has allowed only two earned runs in his last 17 1/3 innings, but his road ERA for the season sits at an unattractive 4.78. Despite having gone just 4-for-18 with seven strikeouts against the Nationals this year, Schwarber blasts one where they ain’t inside Citizens Bank Bandbox.
Phillies ML vs. Nationals
Rob Thomson’s team clearly owns the upper hand in its encounters with Washington. This season, the Phillies have emerged victorious in five of six meetings. Stretching back to 2023, the Nats have dropped five straight in Ben Franklin’s backyard.
Yes, the Phillies have dropped four of their last five games and rank five spots lower than their division rival in wRC+ this month, but with a 2.48 ERA and 7-3 record in 12 starts, Zack Wheeler has been dealing at home. In one of those rotation turns on May 17, the Zack Attack limited Washington to two earned runs on three hits in a 4-2 triumph.
Work the belly in celebration, Phanatic.
Hitter Prop season record: 33-44, -1.74 units
