All - Please note, the reason I post the website next to the odds is that is the best number I have found with the books that I use. Shop around at your state’s books for the best of the number.
Boston Red Sox (39-35) @ Minnesota Twins (36-38)
Red Sox Moneyline (+114 BetRivers)
Boston comes into this game red hot winning 6 in a row and 7-3 in L10. Meanwhile, Minnesota has lost 3 straight games and the first 2 of this series. Boston is an underdog yet is receiving most of the handle, 82% but only 60% of bets. Slightly public action but still a nice discrepancy that I look for. Get this early if you can. It is starting to trend towards a pick em -110.
Texas Rangers (45-28) @ Chicago White Sox (32-43)
Rangers Moneyline (-105 BetRivers)
Over 9.5 (+100 BetRivers)
Let’s start with the moneyline. The Rangers are receiving both pro and public support with 79% of the handle and 78% of the bets on them. Not hard to see why with their records, although Texas is only 4-6 in the L10. Moving on to the over. 85% of the handle but only 42% of bets are on the over signaling some wiseguy action. 13 runs were scored in yesterdays game. Texas leads the MLB in overs this year 41-28-4.
Atlanta Braves (47-26) @ Philadelphia Phillies (38-35)
Under 8.5
When I think of both of these teams I think runs. But Philadelphia surprisingly has been the 3rd best under team this year at 38-28-7. In home games 16-11-1. 73% of the handle but only 46% of the bets are on the under. Very good pitching match-up to go with this total, AJ Smith-Shawver (1-0) 2.03 ERA vs Aaron Nola (6-5) 4.66 ERA. Nola’s stats are better at home (3-2) 3.92 ERA even with giving up 6 in 6.1 in his last home start vs the Dodgers.
