All - Please note, the reason I post the website next to the odds is that is the best number I have found with the books that I use. Shop around at your state’s books for the best of the number.

Miami Marlins (45-34) @ Boston Red Sox (40-39)

Over 9.5 -103 (BetRivers)

Sandy Alcantara (2-6) 5.08 ERA takes on Garrett Whitlock (4-2) 4.50 ERA. Sandy has pitched nothing like his CY Young year of just last year. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that most of the money is getting down on the over at Fenway. 75% of the money but only 45% of the bets are to the over. Maybe the public still thinks Sandy is the same Sandy as last year. When you think the Marlins you think low scoring games, but not as much on the road. They are exactly 50% with their over/under record on the road. Meanwhile, games at Fenway are 23-15-1 to the over so far this year.

Houston Astros (42-36) @ St. Louis Cardinals (32-45)

Astros Moneyline -110 (PointsBet)

Oddsmakers are still giving the Cardinals respect even with a terrible record. They have been playing better ball, by their standards at 5-5 L10. Houston is just 3-7 in their L10. A mixture of both pros and the public are backing the Astros to get going at this short price with 87% of the money and 86% of bets backing the Stros. Houston sends Framber Valdez (7-5) 2.27 ERA to the mound, St. Louis has not named a starter. St. Louis also just returned from a 2 game series in London.

Philadelphia Phillies (40-37) @ Chicago Cubs (37-39)

Phillies Moneyline -125 (BetMGM)

Under 8.5 +100 (DraftKings) Cubs Team Total Under

This looks to be another play against the team that just came back from London, Chicago. 81% of the money and only 64% of the bets are backing the Phillies. The money is also getting down on the under 8.5 with 83% of the money but only 56% of the bets. I have no data on team totals, but if you think the Cubs come into tired and slow, an under Cubs team total may be the play. Especially considering the Cubs starter Jameson Taillon’s (2-5) elevated ERA at 6.71
