All - Please note, the reason I post the website next to the odds is that is the best number I have found with the books that I use. Shop around at your state’s books for the best of the number.
Texas Rangers (40-21) @ Tampa Bay Rays (46-19)
Over 8 (-120 PointsBet)
Both teams come into tonight’s matchup in the top 6 records to the over. Texas is 57.6% to the over and Tampa is 56.5%. Many books have already gone to 8.5. Right now 94% of the handle but only 70% of the bets are on the over. Tampa’s offense has diminished a tad lately. There is a decent pitching matchup between Andrew Heaney (4-3) 4.03 ERA and Tyler Glasnow (0-0) 3.72ERA.
Arizona Diamondbacks (37-25) @ Detroit Tigers (26-34)
Under 8 (+100 BetRivers)
The Tigers offense has been struggling as of late scoring 3 runs or fewer in 7 straight games averaging 1.5 runs per game. They have also lost 6 straight games. 78% of the money but only 45% of the tickets are on the under signaling professional money behind this. Very good pitching match-up between Merill Kelly (7-3) 2.80 ERA and Michael Lorenzen (2-2) 3.21ERA which would favor an under. Arizona also looks decently attractive at -145 if these trends continue.
Miami Marlins (35-28) @ Chicago White Sox (28-36)
Marlins Moneyline (+114 BetRivers)
Under 8 (-105 Fanduel)
Miami comes into to tonight as one of the hottest teams in baseball winning 8 of 10. Somehow they are listed as underdogs. This isn’t scaring off pro money as 67% of the money and 58% of bets are looking to cash at plus money. Anytime an underdog is catching more of the handle or $ I pay attention. 92% of the money but only 52% of bets are on the under. A great discrepancy between pros and joes that I also love to see. Slight 8mph winds are expected to blow in.
