All - Please note, the reason I post the website next to the odds is that is the best number I have found with the books that I use. Shop around at your state’s books for the best of the number.

Short MLB slate today with only 6 games as teams travel.

SF Giants (16-20) @ AZ Diamondbacks (20-17)

Over 9 (-120 MGM)

D-backs (+125 DK PointsBet)

A few books have already moved to 9.5 on this. 78% of the money but only 51% of the total bets are on this over. A line move and handle vs bet discrepancy signal wise guy action on the over. 58% of the money is also backing the dog, Arizona, at +125.

Arizona is 11-9 at home this year and SF is 6-8 on the road. The pitching match-up favors SF as Alex Cobb (2-1) 2.01 ERA takes on Tommy Henry (1-0) 5.17 ERA. Henry is a lefty and the Giants are 23rd in the league in batting avg at .235 and lead the league in strikeouts vs lefties. Overall pass for me, but some support for both of these bets.

Texas Rangers (22-14) @ Oakland A’s (8-30)

Rangers Moneyline (-230 DK)

Over 8.5 (-115 MGM BetRivers)

No surprise here that 98% of bets are on the Rangers money line as they have been impressive so far this year and Oakland continues to be one of the worst teams in the league. 76% of the money and 75% of bets are on the over. Oakland is 66.7% to the over this year and Texas is 61.8%.

Oakland still has not named a starter so keep an eye there. I hate laying an expensive money line like that, but I almost have to against the A’s. May be worth laying the run line -1.5 if you like the Rangers. I always prefer run lines and overs when the favorite is on the road. You expect to get that extra at-bat in the bottom of the 9th. Best bet over 8.5.
