All - Please note, the reason I post the website next to the odds is that is the best number I have found with the books that I use. Shop around at your state’s books for the best of the number.
Baltimore Orioles (28-16) @ Toronto Blue Jays (25-19)
O’s Moneyline (+128 Fanduel)
This feels like a pretty even match-up to me, and I think the money is agreeing. The favorite normally receives most of the handle, which they are. But 49% of the money is backing Baltimore but only 36% of bets are signaling some wiseguy action taking some plus money. Kyle Gibson (4-3) 4.67 ERA for the O’s takes on Yusei Kikuchi (5-0) 3.89 ERA. Baltimore is 13-8 on the road and Toronto is 13-6 at home. Pretty even matchup.
Minnesota Twins (24-20) @ LA Angels (23-22)
Under 8 (-104 Fanduel)
LA just split a 4 game series with Baltimore and had to travel all the way back home yesterday. Generally speaking, a team traveling far distance after a road trip will lead to some fatigue and often less than peak performance offensively. 89% of the money but only 68% of bets are on this under. Joe Ryan (6-1) 2.16 ERA takes the mound for Minnesota. Reid Detmers (0-3) 4.89 for the Halos. I could get behind a Twins money line as well.
Oakland A’s (10-35) @ Houston Astros (24-19)
Over 9.5 (+100 BetMGM)
Ken Waldichuk (1-2) 7.02 ERA takes the hill for the awful A’s. 79% of the money is on this over while only 54% of bets are. Oakland is 15-4-1 to the over as a road team this year. This is enough for me to have my best bet of the day on the over. An Astros team total over may be a good play as well.
Miami Marlins (23-21) @ San Francisco Giants (20-23)
Giants ML (-113 BetRivers)
61% of the money but only 54% of bets are backing the Giants. Miami just had to travel across the country from a day game yesterday which could be some fatigue. NL Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara (1-4) 4.91 ERA takes on Anthony DeSclafani (3-3) 3.06 ERA. Sandy has the bigger name, but I just don’t think he has the same stuff from last year. DeSclafani has the better numbers so far this year. Just a few things to support a Giants play today.
