Prop Watch: Andrew Nembhard Could Be the X-Factor in Game 5

Written by Drew Lee | May 13, 2025

Every playoff run has its breakout role player and for Indiana, Andrew Nembhard is making a strong case.

While Tyrese Haliburton commands most of the spotlight, it’s Nembhard’s steady two-way play that’s quietly helped keep the Pacers in stride. His points prop for Game 5 is set at a modest 10+, and there’s real value in backing the Over.

Nembhard cleared this number in both earlier games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, including a 23-point outburst in Game 1. He’s looked composed directing the offense when Haliburton takes a breather and has consistently stepped up in close contests. His quieter stat lines came in blowout scenarios, something already factored into the prop line.

Here’s what makes this worth a look: Nembhard has elevated his game when the lights shine brightest. After averaging just 10 PPG during the regular season, he posted 15 PPG in the first-round series against Milwaukee, shooting 49% from the field and topping 15 points in four of five games.

With Cleveland fighting for survival and the series intensity peaking, don’t be surprised if Nembhard delivers again.

Play: Andrew Nembhard Over 10+ Points Prediction: Nembhard steps up as Indiana’s playoff sleeper.
