Taking a Look at the NFL Super Bowl Hypothetical Lines

Seattle Seahawks (-8.5) vs Denver Broncos O/U 40.5 (Fanduel)

Anytime you see a total hovering around 40 or lower, Vegas is signaling a rock fight. Jarrett Stidham going up against an elite Seahawks defense doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, and the line reflects that reality. This projects as a grind-it-out, field-position type of game where points come at a premium. Jaxon Smith- Njigba vs Patrick Surtain II would be the matchup to watch. In all honesty, this is the kind of Super Bowl where the halftime show might be the most entertaining part of the night.

Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) vs New England Patriots O/U 45.5 (Fanduel)

Statistically, this is one of the more fascinating matchups and a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX, a game that will haunt Seahawks fans forever. This version of Seattle is essentially the Houston Texans on steroids: the league’s No. 1 scoring defense, allowing just 17.2 points per game, paired with a far more efficient offense.

New England, meanwhile, ranks in the top six in the league across the three core offensive metrics: passing yards per game, rushing yards per game, and points per game. Fire versus fire. Strength versus strength. It would be fascinating to see which identity ultimately prevails on the biggest stage.

Los Angeles Rams (-8.5) vs Denver Broncos O/U 45.5 (Fanduel)

What happened with Bo Nix is genuinely unfortunate, and it’s likely to fuel “what if” conversations among Broncos fans for years. That said, it’s hard to imagine anyone outside of Denver wanting to see this version of the Broncos in the Super Bowl. I like a good underdog story and will be hoping Jarret Stidham plays well, but a mediocre backup quarterback in the Super Bowl sounds like a recipe for disaster. I’d say Puka Nacua vs. Patrick Surtain II would be a sight to see, but knowing Sean McVay, Puka would be moved all over the formation to hunt mismatches. As some on NFL Twitter likes to say, “He’s only good at running routes against linebackers.”

Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) vs New England Patriots O/U 51.5 (Fanduel)

Now this is the matchup I will be rooting for since my team is eliminated. Two of the top 3 offenses in Yards/Game, this would have all the makings for a shootout on the big stage, as reflected by the 51.5 game total. Who wouldn’t want to watch the league's top two MVP candidates, Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford, square off? And for anyone who enjoys a little action on the game, this is about as good a betting environment you can ask for.
