3 Potential Fantasy League Winners
Jaylen Waddle (WR, Broncos) – ESPN PPR Rank: #47
Finally free from the Tua Tagovailoa era, Jaylen Waddle is set up for a massive bounce-back season. We've already seen the talent, and the underlying metrics support the breakout potential. Last year, Denver ranked 4th in neutral pass rate, while Miami was among the league's lowest. More passing volume means more opportunities in a better offensive scheme with improved quarterback play. Teams don't trade a first-round pick for a receiver just to make him a complementary piece expect Waddle to be a focal point of this offense.
Colston Loveland (TE, Bears) – ESPN PPR Rank: #49
It took some time for Loveland to settle into the offense as a rookie, but he finished the year showing exactly why he was a top-10 draft pick. Currently being drafted around the fourth round in fantasy, he has legitimate top-two tight end upside. Loveland closed the season with 10+ targets in each of his final four games (including the playoffs) and topped 90 receiving yards in three of those contests. If that usage carries over into Year 2, he could be one of the biggest values at the position.
Jalen Hurts (QB, Eagles) –ESPN PPR Rank: #58
I'm buying the dip on Jalen Hurts. After being written off by many fantasy managers last season, I think the offensive changes under new coordinator Sean Mannion will help unlock another elite campaign. Hurts already has one of the safest fantasy floors in football thanks to his rushing ability and the Eagles' continued use of the tush push near the goal line. If the passing game takes a step forward, don't be surprised if Hurts finishes as a top-three fantasy quarterback once again.
