Zach Charbonnet anytime touchdown. Charbonnet all day! Go ahead and get crazy. It’s the holiday season, a convenient excuse for excess consumption. So is a matchup against Chicago. With Kenneth Walker III (ankle) out, Charbonnet once again resumes the role of Seattle’s workhorse. In four games elevated into the captain’s chair and logged at least 75% of the snap share, he’s crossed the chalk six times. Most impressively, the promoted backup running back is No. 5 in YAC per attempt (3.60) and No. 7 in yards created per touch (4.42) among all eligible RBs. His efficiency could spike. The Bears are unquestionably rancid defensively. Since Week 12, the Gummies are No. 27 in rush EPA defense, allowing 4.79 yards per carry, 179.2 total yards per game and seven touchdowns to RBs. Expect Charbonnet to shake his money maker at least once.
Jaxon Smith-Njiba 5+ receptions. Molten over the last several weeks, JSN should continue to spew liquid-hot magma in chilly Chicago. Flashing all over the field, the Seahawks slot man has become Geno Smith's go-to guy. Their chemistry is bubbling and vigorously. Since Week 8, the duo has connected a minimum of five times in a game on seven occasions. Smith-Njiba, who has won the second-most routes of any wide receiver, is likely to conquer consistently. His projected primary assignment, Bears slot cornerback Kyler Gordon, has surrendered a 71.4% catch rate and a 105.1 passer rating on 338 coverage snaps. The Geno-to-JSN beautiful on-field music continues to jam.
Keenan Allen 40+ receiving yards. He may have a hairline similar to this fortysomething, but the well-aged veteran continues to display youthful hands. His reliability in recent weeks has been off the charts. Peppered with targets (54) since Week 12, the Chicago wide receiver has caught at least five passes in four of his last five games. Most importantly, he’s tallied 40 or more receiving yards in six of his last seven contests. Seattle ranks a terrific No. 7 in dropback EPA defense in its last five games. However, Allen’s projected slot assignment, Devon Witherspoon, has yielded a 71.8% catch rate and the 23rd-most yards (522) of any DB in the NFL. Allen should be the 25th wide receiver to sprint past 40 yards against the ‘Hawks this season. Do it for us follically challenged folks, Keenan.
