Texas
Texas yesterday suffered a horrific loss to the Ole Miss Rebels as 5.5-point favorites in the SEC Tournament. They have now lost 5 of their last 6 games to end the season. The Longhorns do have six Quadrant 1 wins, which normally would be enough to feel safe, but the way they closed the year might end up being too detrimental to overcome.
Indiana
Unfortunately, Indiana will not be dancing in Darian DeVries’ first year. A season that once started out promising quickly turned into a disaster. The Hoosiers lost 6 of their last 7 games to close the season, adding another frustrating chapter to what has been a wasted year in Bloomington. After the game, the first question DeVries was asked was about the transfer portal, which sums up the state of college basketball.
UCF
UCF picked up a massive win yesterday in what felt like a win-and-you ’re-in game against fellow bubble team Cincinnati. The Bearcats had a 95% win probability with 2:09 left, but disaster struck, and they ended up losing. UCF will likely be in the field now, while Cincinnati’s late push doesn’t seem like it’s going to be enough.

SMU
Two weeks ago, SMU had a 94% chance of making the tournament. Then everything fell apart, as they lost 5 of their last 6 games. They fell to Louisville yesterday without Michael Brown available, in a game that likely would have clinched their bid if they had won.

Auburn
Auburn picked up a win yesterday against a 13–19 Mississippi State team that doesn’t move the needle much, but it keeps them alive. This was just their third win in the last 11 games, showing how much they have struggled down the stretch. With several other bubble teams also slipping late in the season, the door is still wide open. If Auburn can win another game or two in the SEC Tournament, they could play their way back into the field. They have a massive game vs Tennessee today.
