Week 2 Overview

Over bettors had a day and week so far going 12-2.  This did not shape up well for my best plays.

Favorites went 9-5 straight up but underdogs continue profitable with a 7-5-2 ATS record.  Road teams went 8-6 and 7-5-2 ATS.

0-1 teams did not fare well as I expected as them to go. 0-1 teams vs 1-0 teams went just 3-5 straight up and 3-4-1 ATS.

Wong teasers did very well.  Every team but the Bears came home with Pittsburgh +2.5 to 8.5 remaining.

Patriots +1.5 to +7.5 Cover

Cowboys -8.5 to -2.5 Cover

49ers -7.5 to -1.5 Cover

Titans +2.5 to +8.5 Cover

Bills -7.5 to -1.5 Cover

New Orleans Saints (1-0) (0-1ATS) @ Carolina Panthers (0-1) (0-1 ATS)

Total 39.5

Money seems to be mostly on the Saints in this one but this line has held steady at 3 all week.  Books are reluctant to move to 3.5 so far.  If we get closer to kick and there is a line move, that will be very telling.  Pretty split betting on the total.  I have a small lean to the Saints in this one, as Rookie QBs tend to struggle in September but no play from me.

Cleveland Browns (1-0) (1-0 ATS) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) (0-1 ATS)

Total 38.5 - 39.5

The majority of money and bets are laying it with the Browns and taking them on the moneyline.  (77%money/75%bets).  Pittsburgh has owned the Browns at home winning 19 straight in Pittsburgh and have won 20 straight home MNF games.  Meanwhile, the total has crept up all day from 38 to 39.5 at some shops.  This number feels awfully low, especially with this week’s offensive performances.  The Steelers have a key D-line injury in Cam Heyward.  Surprisingly, a slight lean to the under money in the splits.  But the line move speaks more to me.  I like the Steelers to win this game and the game to go over the total.
