WNBA: Lynx vs. Liberty Player Props: : Napheesa Collier, Jonquel Jones
Thanks to the influx of extraordinary young talent, the popularity of the WNBA is blowing up. Unsurprisingly, the betting markets are too. Showing respect to the wonderful women’s game, this gambler will occasionally dip his toe in the WNBA wagering waters.

When bets begin to cash, any gambler can become a creature of habit. As the timeless adage says, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
This dice roller — an admitted newbie to the WNBA — has fallen head over heels for alternative rebounding markets in the league, and the units gained by chasing action in the category this season are reflected in the record below.
“Locks” and “guarantees” don’t exist in gambling — don’t listen to that smooth-talking “sharp” who's pitching $199.95-per-month subscriptions to access his picks — but there are advantageous approaches that can pay off over the long term. Even with the WNBA’s rapid growth, the player prop markets are still relatively soft compared to those in men’s sports.
Ultimately, if you follow the W closely, chances are you can turn a profit.
With that thought winding through the cerebral cortex, here’s why I’m once again crashing — and hopefully cashing — the glass in Lynx vs. Liberty on Tuesday.
Napheesa Collier 8+ rebounds. The 6-foot-1 “forward” plays with Dennis Rodman-like tenacity. Unlike The Worm, though, Collier can consistently score in addition to dominate the boards. This year, she’s averaging 10.4 rebounds per game (fourth in the WNBA) and has hauled in eight or more boards in 13 of 16 games. Yes, the Liberty typically control the paint, as evidenced by their No. 2 ranking in fewest rebounds allowed (32.7 per game), but Collier corralled 12 boards against New York in the Lynx’s 84-67 victory on May 25. Fingers crossed that the trend will again be thy friend.
Jonquel Jones 8+ rebounds. A bruiser on the interior who has a sixth sense for various caroms, Jones has developed into quite the glass commander. This season, she’s averaging 8.8 boards, topping the needed number in nine of her last 11 contests. The Liberty forward only pulled down a half-dozen rebounds in the first matchup against Minnesota in late May, but foul issues limited her to just 28 minutes. Knowing the Lynx have allowed the second-most boards at 36.6 per game, Jones should reach the necessary threshold, provided the whistles don’t pile up.
WNBA season record: 8-5, +4.46 units
