TxODDS: 25 Years In, Still Building Like the Stakes Are New
Quarter-century old. Startup soul intact.
In betting, infrastructure is invisible until an operator needs it. Every trading desk, every automated model, every early-stage startup with a sharp idea runs on data, and TxODDS has been the quiet backbone for a lot of that work for 25 years.Founded by Einar Knobel, TxODDS collects and distributes market data in a format operators and builders can trust: clean enough to automate from, reliable enough to build a business on. A quarter-century in, the company still runs with the mindset of a startup and Einar would be the first to say they haven't quite grown up yet.
The Bloomberg Pitch and Why the Plumbing Matters
Einar's elevator pitch is simple: "A Bloomberg Terminal for sports betting."
Collect market data. Deliver it in a format you can trust, build from, and automate. That's the product. The implication for early-stage founders is worth understanding. Clean pricing feeds, reliable data layers, trustworthy market signals - none of these make for exciting marketing copy, but every working product depends on them. Shaky infrastructure doesn't announce itself early. It shows up later, at the worst time.
A Blockchain Bet on the World Cup
TxODDS is heading into the 2026 tournament with something new: a blockchain-based stable price feed publishing a market price every 60 seconds across every World Cup match.
Halftime/full-time markets. Main lines. Handicaps. Totals. Updated on-chain, every minute, for free.
Real-time depth is available through an API behind a token-based access layer. The free feed is built around open, transparent pricing that any startup, risk tool, or prediction market can plug into without a heavy infrastructure commitment.
A 25-year-old company building tokenized data access for a global tournament isn't what most people expect from an established provider. Einar would say that's exactly why they're doing it.
Why TxODDS Is Presenting The Starties
TxODDS has a long history of working with startups; good data and early-stage ambition tend to find each other.
"If you have an idea, come along," Einar said. "The hard bit is getting all the components to work."
Data, pricing, compliance, distribution assembling those pieces is where most promising projects lose momentum. TxODDS wants to be in those early conversations, before the hard bits become blockers. The Starties is where those conversations happen.
